SRINAGAR: The Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS) successfully summitted two peaks, Pt 5150 and Pt 5130, in a single expedition on August 21, 2024, in the Machoi Ranges of the Himalayas.

The expedition, led by Colonel Hemchandra Singh, Principal of JIM&WS, reached these magnificent peaks located in the region of Zojila Pass. The team comprised seven climbers who successfully summitted both Pt 5150 and Pt 5130, and an additional 34 climbers who scaled Pt 5130.

This achievement marks another milestone for JIM&WS, which has now successfully scaled nine peaks during the current climbing season
