Srinagar: A 12-year-old boy was killed in a road accident in Akura Mattan, Anantnag district, South Kashmir.
Locals said that the boy, identified as Faisal Ahmad Wagay son of Javid Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Akura was hit by a tractor on Sunday afternoon.
Faisal was initially taken to PHC Mattan in critical condition and later referred to GMC Anantnag.
Despite efforts to save him, Faisal succumbed to his injuries while being transferred to DH Anantnag.
The police have confirmed the incident and have registered a case for further investigation.
