60 pints collected in successful event
PAMPORE: The Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Chadoora, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority, organised a blood donation camp at the Tehsil Premises in Chadoora on Thursday.
This event was organized under the supervision of Jahangir Ahmed Bakshi, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Budgam, and chairmanship of Mir Wajahat, Chairman of the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Chadoora, along with the 313 Blood Donors Volunteers Trust Kashmir, in collaboration with the Sub-District Hospital Chadoora. The initiative received overwhelming support from the local community.
The main aim of the programme was to educate the public about the importance of blood donation, its lifesaving impact, and dispelling myths or misconceptions surrounding the donation process and providing individuals with an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others, empowering them to make a tangible difference in their community, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Qualified medical professionals from the Sub-district hospital Chadoora oversaw the donation process, ensuring the highest standards of safety and hygiene were maintained.
Donors were guided through each step of the process, from registration to post-donation care, with utmost care and professionalism.
The event marked the first donation by Mir Wajahat, Chairman of TLSC Chadoora/Sub-Judge Chadoora. Additionally, several Bar members and a number of locals also participated and made their contributions.
The event was graced by the presence of SHO Nowgam Imtiyaz Ahmad, along with bar members, staff PLV, and volunteers. Donors, volunteers, and attendees were honoured with certificates of appreciation for their valuable contributions by Chairman TLSC Chadoora, he said.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout of around 60 pints of blood, with individuals from all walks of life stepping forward to donate blood. Their generosity and compassion exemplify the spirit of community solidarity and support during times of need, helping to alleviate the shortage of blood supply in hospitals and healthcare facilities to a certain extent.
TLSC Chadoora Mir Wajahat extends heartfelt appreciation to the volunteers, donors, and staff whose dedication and commitment made the blood donation camp a resounding success. Their collective efforts have made a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, officials said.
