Teachers’ forum holds education conference cum farewell function for renowned teacher in Pampore

CEO Pulwama highlights increased enrollment, teacher contributions

PAMPORE: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum Pulwama organised a grand education conference cum grand farewell function to bid adieu to the renowned government teacher and spokesperson of J&KTF Pulwama Mohammad Yousuf Kuchay, who superannuated from services recently. An education conference in the honour of renowned teachers was held at Government Upper Primary School Kadlabal Pampore.

He was presented with a shawl, bouquets, garlands and gifts by the officials, teachers and students. Chief Education Officer Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi was the chief guest on the occasion.

The function was attended by DEPO Pulwama Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Vice Chairman JKTF Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Provincial President JKTF Hamidullah Tramboo, District President Pulwama Irfan Nazir, ZEO Pampore  Abdul Rashid, ZPEO Pampore Masrat Hussain, Ex State President Afzal Bhat, retired officials including Ex Principal G A Dar, Ex ZEO Zaffar ud Din, Ex trade union leader Mukhtar Ahmad Tantary, HOD DIET Mohammad Altaf, Principal GHSS Pampore Nazir Ahmad Khan, Principal HSS Litter Mohammad Maqbool, Ex Headmaster HS Chandhara Peer Altaf, district members, Zonal Presidents Tral Lurgam Awantipora Kakapora, Zonal members and teachers forum Pampore heads Mohammad Ameen Bhat, Bilal Ahmad Wani, Mohammad Altaf, Bilal Ahmad and a number of teachers of Zone Pampore.

Moreover, in this function, appreciation certificates were distributed among the best teachers and masters of Education Zone Pampore as well as the schools who have enrolled the highest number of new admissions in this session 2024-25. The awardees include Shabir Ahmad Qazi, Naseer Ahmad Dar, Shabina Kounsar, Mohammad Maqbool, Afrooza Masoodi, Headmaster PS Sathoora/Khuttu, Headmaster PS Zaintrag. This will boost the morale of those officials and the other teaching officials will follow them. Also, Zonal President JKTF Pampore along with other office bearers handed over the key to a fireproof locker in the presence of CEO Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi, DEPO Pulwama to ZEO Pampore which cost more than 1.5 lakh for the protection service records of the officials of whole zone.

A few months ago, two of the teaching officials passed away after a prolonged illness and financial assistance was need of the hour. One family was handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the next heir out of the Teachers’ Welfare Fund of JKTF Pampore in the presence of the above-mentioned officers of the education department.

Meanwhile, the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum Zone Pampore presented a heartfelt tribute to Mohammad Yousuf Kuchay, the esteemed spokesperson of JKTF Pampore and HOI UPS Litterbal Pampore, on the occasion of his superannuation. Kuchay’s tenure has been characterized by unwavering dedication and exemplary performance, making him a cherished asset to the educational community. In a significant gesture, Bilal Ahmad Wani, Zonal President Pampore, along with other members, presented him with a memento symbolizing the profound impact of his service. The entire educational fraternity of Pampore expressed its deepest gratitude for his invaluable contributions and wished him a fulfilling retirement, as conveyed by the JKTF Spokesman to Kashmir Reader.

Throughout his tenure, Kuchay has been a beacon of professionalism, dedication, and inspiration to all. His unwavering commitment to excellence has left an indelible mark on the education department, guiding thousands of students towards a respectful and successful life, which is the primary focus of every teacher.

Speaking to Kashmir Reader, Chief Education Officer Pulwama, Abdul Qayoom Nadvi, highlighted the theme of knowledge sharing and wisdom sharing at the function. He emphasized the significant increase in school enrollment within the Pampore education zone, attributing it largely to the substantial contributions of teachers.

During the event, teachers were recognized and honoured for their efforts. Moreover, Mohammad Yousuf Kuchay, a retiring teacher from the same school, was felicitated for his outstanding contributions to the department. Kuchay’s extensive work with the organization and his significant role in the teachers’ community has been highly praised. Nadvi stressed the importance of highlighting such role models, emphasizing their significance as assets to the education sector.
