Training camp of 3 J&K Bn Baramulla underway at Uri

SRINAGAR: The first Annual Training camp of the current Training Year of 3 J&K Bn NCC Baramulla is being held at Uri from April 22 to May 01, 2024. A total of 348 cadets from 45 institutions of Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara are attending this camp.
The aim of the camp is to impart basic training comprising Drill, weapon training, Map Reading and also Personality development and Leadership Qualities. It is indeed heartening to witness the cadets of remote far flung border areas take part in the camp enthusiastically.
Brigadier Deepak Sajjanhar, Sena Medal Group commander Srinagar Group visited Uri the Annual Training Camp site on 28 Apr 2024. He was given an impressive Guard of Honour by the cadets followed by a formal briefing by the Commanding Officer Col M.S Kumar.
He later visited the training area and was shown practical classes being conducted by the instructors and the Associated NCC Officers. He appreciated all the cadets and other Participants of the camp for their zeal and enthusiasm displayed during the camp inspite of the incessant rains and harsh weather conditions.
A tea party was organised during which he highlighted the benefits of joining NCC and inspired the cadets to take part in all the NCC related activities and maintain the high Josh.
The high-spirited participation of these young cadets which is being well appreciated by all the educational institutions and the local population has indeed projected the image of NCC as a true instrument of nation building.
