PDP holds public convention in Pampore, reaffirms commitment to community welfare

Waheed Parra, Mir Zahoor call for efforts to address post-Art 370 challenges

PAMPORE: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a public convention in Konibal area of Pampore, where party leaders including Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra and Mir Zahoor Ahmad addressed party workers and local residents. The convention, presided over by Waheed Ur Rehman Parra and Mir Zahoor Ahmad, aimed to engage with the community and highlight the party’s commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the people.
During the convention, Waheed Parra reiterated the PDP’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by the region since the abrogation of Article 370. He emphasized the party’s efforts to reach out to every village and street, aiming to alleviate fear and uncertainty among the people. He also stressed the party’s proactive stance in advocating for the rights and freedoms of the youth, particularly those affected by imprisonment.
Mir Zahoor Ahmad echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the PDP’s commitment to uplifting the youth of Jammu and Kashmir by providing employment opportunities and fostering overall development. Addressing the media, Waheed Ur Rahman Parra highlighted the importance of maximum participation in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for the voice of Kashmir to be heard in the Parliament of Delhi. He also discussed various issues affecting the region, including unemployment and the rights of saffron producers, pledging to work towards their improvement if given the opportunity.
