JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu concluded the Nurturing Future Leadership Program, conducted under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Government of India, with a grand valedictory ceremony held at Bharat Classroom, Jagti Campus. The program, spanning from 18th March to 22nd March 2024, aimed at equipping educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective leaders in their respective domains.The valedictory ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, emphasized the critical role that educators play in shaping the future and invited suggestions for further enhancing the program’s objectives. He also commended the Ministry of Education, Government of India for coming up with such an initiative and highlighted the importance of aligning the program’s purpose with national educational objectives.During his address, he shared news about his recent visit to Srinagar and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IIM Jammu and SKUAST-K. He emphasized the significance of collaboration and partnerships in advancing educational initiatives.Engaging with the participants, he shared his rich experiences and encouraged them to continue their professional development journey beyond the program. He reiterated that the valedictory ceremony marked not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in their leadership development. He expressed happiness for the energy and enthusiasm in participants in all the five days of the program and wished the participants good luck in their future endeavors. He expressed confidence in their ability to make a positive impact in the field of education and urged them to continue striving for excellence. He reiterated the institute’s commitment to supporting educators in their journey towards becoming effective leaders and change-makers in the field of education.
The event commenced with a comprehensive summary of the program by Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Program Director at IIM Jammu. Dr. Kaur provided insights into the various modules and activities undertaken during the Nurturing Future Leadership Program, highlighting the key learnings and experiences shared by the participants.
Following Dr. Kaur’s program summary, Dr. Pratik Maheshwari, Co-Chairperson of Executive Education at IIM Jammu, delivered an insightful address. Dr. Maheshwari underscored the importance of continuous learning and professional development in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape. Present on the occasion was Dr. Vaseem Akram, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
This was followed by the distribution of certificates to all the participants, recognizing their successful completion of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program. The certificates serve as a testament to their dedication and hard work throughout the program.
