SRINAGAR: On the fifth day of the prestigious 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship, hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu from January 29 to February 8, 2024, fervent matches unfolded, showcasing exceptional skill and sportsmanship.
Match No. 18: TELAGANA POLICE VS PUDUCHERRY POLICE
In an exhilarating battle, Puducherry Police emerged victorious against Telangana Police with a scoreline of 4-3. The scorers were S Nanda Kumar Jr. No.10 (1st goal), while V Karthikayan Jr. No.09 netted the 2nd and 3rd goals, and Karpaga Rastihiran Jr. No.12 sealed the deal with the 4th goal. A Nagarajan Jr. No.18 was declared the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The Chief Guest for the match was Shri. Reyaz Iqbal Tantray, Dy. CO, IRP-16TH Bn.
Match No. 19: WEST BENGAL POLICE VS JHARKHAND POLICE
West Bengal Police claimed victory against Jharkhand Police with a close score of 3-2. Praful Dungdung Jr. No.15, Santosh Rajbhar Jr. No.99, and Sukhen Barman Jr. No.11 were the goal scorers. Match No. 20: KERALA POLICE VS CRPF
CRPF dominated the game against Kerala Police, securing a resounding win with a score of 7-0. Ignacius Toppo Jr. No.22 showcased brilliance with the 1st and 4th goals. Lovepreet Jainth Jr. No.30 was declared the Player of the Match. The Chief Guest for the match was Shri. Suram Singh, SSP, CO. JKAP-8TH Bn.
Match No. 21: BSF VS TAMIL NADU
BSF emerged victorious against Tamil Nadu with a convincing scoreline of 5-1.
