SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Students Association expressed gratitude to the Aligarh Muslim University Administration and the District Administration of Baramulla for facilitating the transport of the deceased body of a young Kashmiri student back to his home.
In a statement, the National Convenor of the Association, Nasir Khuehami, said that the 19-year-old student from Baramulla was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his rented room on Sunday afternoon. He was enrolled as a student at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)-run by Sir Syed Hamid Senior Secondary School and was in class 11.
AMU Students Fraternity sought assistance from the Association to coordinate with the Authorities for the transportation of the deceased student’s body back to Kashmir. Upon learning of the tragic incident, Khuehami said that the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association promptly brought the matter to the attention of the District Magistrate of Baramulla and the Uttar Pradesh Administration.
On late Sunday night, after completing all necessary medical formalities, the body was facilitated and transported back to his ancestral village in Baramulla for burial. The transportation was arranged with the provision of an ambulance for this purpose.
The Association commended the tireless efforts of all those involved in this process, including Secretary J&K Government Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IGP Charu Sinha, Baramulla Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, Dr Suneem, and others. They expressed hope that such collaborative efforts between different regions, communities, and officers would continue in the future. Association also thanked the J&K Aligarh fraternity Especially Zubair Reshi, Amir Sohail, Irfan Bashir, Dr. Farooq and Dr. Sajad for their help and Cooperation in facilitating the dead body of the deceased. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Baramulla, Khuehami added while quoting Zubair Reshi.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association extended its deepest condolences, standing with the family in sharing their grief and praying for peace for the departed soul. “It is indeed a heart-wrenching tragedy, and our heartfelt sympathies are with the family of late Adnan Magloo.”
