Bandipora: In a proactive move to preserve the sanctity of pilgrimage sites, the Municipal Committee in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, inaugurated the ‘Swachh Tirtha Campaign’ on Sunday.
The initiative, led by Sanitary Inspector Hilal Ahmad and overseen by Executive Officer Fayaz Ahmad, commenced at the Municipal Committee Hajin premises.
The cleanliness drive, slated to run until January 21, 2023, aligns with the directives from the Director of Urban Local Bodies, J&K.
MC Hajin sweepers have begun cleaning religious places and water bodies throughout the town. Aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission, the campaign focuses on fostering a positive change in behavior to keep religious and spiritual premises and their surroundings free from garbage.
