KCCI acknowledges contributions of DC Sgr, SMC Commissioner, Secy Tourism

Extends best wishes for their new roles

Srinagar: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) on Sunday acknowledged the routine administrative process of official transfers, emphasizing its appreciation for the support and cooperation received from officials.
As an apex organization, the KCCI expressed gratitude to officials it had closely worked with and looked forward to collaborating with those taking up new assignments, the Chamber said in a statement issued here.
The KCCI particularly commended the proactive role of Ajaz Assad Khan during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar. Under his supervision, the KCCI successfully conducted elections after a gap of four and a half years, and his efforts in revitalizing the organization were highly appreciated. The KCCI said it recognizes Khan’s easy approachability and swift actions, such as unlocking the gates of Ali Jan Complex, which safeguarded the livelihoods of numerous businesses and employees. His interest in resolving issues in Shahr-e-Khaas, including the establishment of a market, was also lauded. The KCCI extended its best wishes to Mr. Khan in his new assignment.
The KCCI highlighted its positive experience working with Athar Amir Khan during his term as Commissioner SMC/CEO Smart City. It acknowledged his receptiveness to suggestions for the development of Srinagar City, especially in restoring the heritage character of Shahr-e-Khaas. The KCCI believes that in his new role as Administrative Secretary Planning Department, Khan has a significant role to play.
Syed Abid Rashid, in his role as Secretary Tourism, earned commendation from the KCCI for streamlining the registration and renewal of tourism service providers, garnering national and international acclaim for the department, the Chamber said, adding that the KCCI recognized the challenges ahead for Rashid in his new role in Health and Medical Education and expressed confidence in his capabilities.
While bidding farewell to these officers, the KCCI expressed optimism about working closely with their successors in the best interests of trade, commerce, and industry.
