Pampore: The lifeless body of an unidentified mentally unsound woman was discovered in the Saffron Town area of Pampore, located in the south Kashmir Police district of Awantipora on Sunday.
Reports suggest that the mentally unsound woman, likely an outsider, had been wandering in the Pampore area for an extended period.
A police official informed Kashmir Reader that they received information about an unknown deceased female body located at Letterbal Kadlabal in Pampore. Subsequently, the body was transported to the Sub District Hospital Pampore and later shifted to the mortuary of District Hospital Pulwama for identification.
The police have issued an appeal to the public, urging them to assist in identifying the deceased woman. Individuals with any information regarding the identity of the body are requested to contact the Police Station Pampore promptly.
