Karwani Islami extends felicitations
Srinagar: The University of Mewar in Rajasthan bestowed an honorary Doctorate degree (Ph.D) upon Allama Moulana Shaykh Gulam Rasool Hami, the chief patron of Karwani Islami International, in acknowledgment of his substantial contributions to social progress.
The honorary Doctorate was presented to Shaykh Hami in a special ceremony titled “Allama Shaykh Ghulam Rasool Hami, a Living Legend from Kashmir,” jointly by Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chancellor of Mewar University, and Prof. Dr. Alok Misra, the Vice Chancellor of Mewar University.
The ceremony, attended by scholars, dignitaries, and university students from various countries, featured a comprehensive speech by Shaykh Hami highlighting the importance of education in enlightening societies throughout history. Expressing gratitude for the honor, Hami applauded both the public and private sectors for their significant role in the educational revolution witnessed in society over the last few decades.
Emphasizing the universal value of knowledge and education, Shaykh Hami drew attention to the contributions of socio-religious movements worldwide in effecting systematic changes essential for building viable, peaceful, rational, and robust social spheres. He specifically acknowledged the commendable role of Karwani Islami International, his socio-religious organization, for decades of dedicated social service transcending religious, sectarian, and ethnic boundaries.
In a separate statement, the Executive Council of Karwani Islami International extended heartfelt congratulations to Shaykh Hami, emphasizing that this award is not only his achievement but also a testament to the entire Kashmiri community, especially its luminaries.
