Srinagar: Passport Office, Srinagar on Tuesday organised a Haj Awareness Program for the prospective pilgrims who intend to perform Haj in the year 2024. The aim of the program, held at Haj House Srinagar, was to educate the pilgrims about the passport application process, the Haj Guidelines, the travel arrangements, religious aspects of Haj.
The program was inaugurated by the Regional Passport Officer, Srinagar, Mr Davinder Kumar, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of Haj as a spiritual journey. He also briefed them about the various services and facilities provided by the Passport Office Srinagar for the Haj applicants. He urged them to apply for their passports well in advance and to follow the instructions given by the Haj committee and the embassy of Saudi Arabia.
The program included presentations by the officials of the Passport Office Srinagar. The presentations covered topics such as form submission, online passport application, Documentation and other necessary procedures.
The program also featured an interactive session where the participants asked questions and clarified their doubts regarding Passport Application process. The Passport officer answered their queries and provided them with useful tips and suggestions. The participants and Executive Officer of Haj house expressed their gratitude to the Passport Office Srinagar for organising such a helpful and informative program.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Sujaat, Executive officer, Haj House who thanked all the dignitaries, guests, speakers, staff members, and participants for making the program a success. He also wished them a safe and blessed Haj.
