Ganderbal: The Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organised legal awareness programmes through its Legal Aid Clinic at Govt Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS), Nadihal and Aragam in Bandipora
At GHSS Nadihal, a group of students including Raheeq Asad Wani, Aslam Khatana, Shaziya Bashir, Umer Mahmood and Saika Rashid spoke on various legislations pertaining to cybercrimes, Domestic Violence, Right to Information, Registration of First Information Report (FIR) etc.
At GHSS Aragam, the students namely, Basharat Hussain, Parvaiz Ahmad, Bazila Bashir, Barkat Manzoor, Navaid Khan through their speech highlighted what are the Fundamental Rights enshrined in the Constitutions and various legislations and mechanism to address the problem of Child Labour and Cyber Crimes. The students spoke on topics like Right to Information, Domestic Violence etc.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Hilal Ahmad Najar, Assistant Professor and I/C Legal Aid Clinic and was facilitated by Mr Ashfaq Hamid Dar who thanked the officials of both these Higher Secondary Schools for the arrangements.
