Srinagar: DG SAI Sandeep Pradhan sent off the team on the concluding day of the camp. The last phase of the camp was held at NSNIS Patiala.
The Wushu event will be held from September 24 to 28, 2023. Surya Bhanu Partap Singh is the lone medalist in the Asian Games so far.
Wushu has so far nine medals in the Asian Games since 2006. The other members participating in the games are Sunil Singh, Vikrant Baliyan, Suraj Yadav, Roshibina Devi, Anjul Namdeo, Rohit Yadav, Nyeman Wangsu, Suraj Singh, Rajesh Kumar Tailor (Coach) Ravi Prakash Tripathi (Coach) and Ananya Mandal (Physio).
Sarmad Hafeez and Nuzhat Gul Secretary Sports Council congratulated both participants and wished them best of luck for the event. Both participants are the employees of J&K Police.
The president of the Wushu Association of J&K Vijay Saraf and General Secretary Bhavneet also congratulated Kuldeep Handoo and Surya Bhanu Partap Singh and wished them best of luck for the event.
