Pulwama: As India basks in the glow of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” a two-day National integration event, “Mera Desh Meri Pehchan,” orchestrated by Pulwama Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Panzgam, Pulwama, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration for the youth. With a resounding call to participate actively in the nation’s growth, the event witnessed a heartening turnout of over 1800 school children and college students, each embracing the spirit of Nationalism.
Against the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call for the youth to lead India into a new era of development, “Mera Desh Meri Pehchan” sought to immerse the youth of South Kashmir in the splendor of their cultural heritage and the history of the nation. The event unfolded on August 25th and 26th and resonated with an array of activities that left the participants spellbound. With a fusion of cultural experiences, thought-provoking competitions, and enlightening sessions, the event became a conduit for the participants to expand their perspectives and nurture their sense of national pride.
Beyond cultural exposure, the event shed light on diverse opportunities available within the Armed Forces, sparking enthusiasm among attendees to contribute to the Nation’s defense and growth.
Distinguished by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Basharat Qayoom, the event achieved new heights of inspiration. Dr. Qayoom’s interaction with the students was nothing short of motivational, as he underscored the importance of unity and collective responsibility in nation-building. He applauded the Indian Army for orchestrating the event seamlessly and recognized the ardor of the youth participants.
