Anantnag: The town of Anantnag witnessed an exhilarating display of martial arts prowess as the 24th SQAY District Anantnag Championship unfolded at the prestigious Townhall venue on 26th and 27th July 2023. Organized with remarkable finesse and enthusiasm by the District SQAY Association Anantnag, under the proficient leadership of Faizan Shabir as the General Secretary and Mohammad Mutaib as the Organizing Secretary, the event brought together approximately 150 skilled players from the district.
SQAY, a captivating and traditional Kashmiri martial art form, showcased its true essence at this championship. With an emphasis on technique, agility, and discipline, the participants enthralled the spectators with their mesmerizing performances. Out of the impressive pool of participants, a total of 50 gifted players were handpicked to represent the district at the forthcoming State level championship.
