Meri Mati Mera Desh: SKUAST-K organises plantation drive

Srinagar: The NSS unit of College of Temperate Sericulture, Mirgund SKUAST-K organized plantation drive in the campus Under MERI MATI MERA DESH campaign. The students and faculty members participated by planting mulberry saplings.
NSS programme officer Dr. Irfan Latif Khan highlighted the importance of planting trees as a sustainable measure to address the issue of climate change. “Every one of us should work together for making India shine,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor M R Mir, Head Division of Basic Science and Humanities, impressed upon the students to develop in them voluntarism and come forward to address various issues of the country so that by 2047 we achieve the status of Vishwa Guru.
A pledge on Panch Pran was taken by the staff and the students of the college that they will work with full dedication for the development of the country.
