Schools convey message to general masses: CEO Pulwama
PAMPORE: Special Summary revision under Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programme was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
To create awareness among students about the importance of the vote and voter cards, an awareness programme under Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme which was organised by district Nodal officer Sveep Pulwama, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Chief Education Officer Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi was the chief guest on the occasion. He is is also the Chief Nodal Officer Sveep and highlighted the importance of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (Sveep). He said a voter is responsible for his/her vote as one vote can decide the future of the country or any region.
Principal Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore Nazir Ahmad Khan, Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Pampore Mohammad Amin, Programme Coordinator Tariq Abdullah, senior master, Mohammad Ameeen Bhat, besides a number of students, teachers and other staff members were present during the awareness programme.
Earlier, the programme on essay writing competition under the banner of SVEEP was also held at the school. The CEO distributed awards among the position holders.
He said that after the higher secondary schools, the programme will be started in other schools as well. “We are quite satisfied that the programme was held smoothly in a professional way,” he said, adding that the information will turn fruitful for people.
