IQRA FC win District Level Talent Hunt U-21 Football Tournament in Bandipora

BANDIPORA: The District Level Talent Hunt U-21 Football Tournament -2023 organized by 3Bn CRPF under Civic Action Programme concluded on Wednesday at S K Stadium Bandipora.
The final match was kick-started by Principal District & Session Judge Amit Sharma and Mahendra Kumar, PMG, Commandant 3 Bn CRPF. It was played between IQRA FC Vs Jamal Iqbal. Both teams were performing persistently hard, and the match ended in a draw with a score of 1-1 goal. The match was decided in tie-breakers in which the IQR FC held their nerves by winning the trophy by 4-3.
The winning team was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The runners-up team was also awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Adil Zamal of the IQRA FC, who scored 5 goals in the tournament, was awarded ‘golden boot’ and Kamran of the IQRA FC was awarded ‘golden gloves’.
Principal District & Session Judge Bandipora Amit Sharma, who was the chief guest, appreciated the youth for taking part in the tournament and congratulated the winning team for its successful journey during the tournament.
Padma Shree Awardee Faisal Ali Dar was the guest of honour, Lakshya Sharma, IPS, SSP Bandipora, Sandeep Kumar, 2-1/C 1077 ARTY BSF, Paulian Kep Co CISF, Ummar Shafi Pandit, ADC Bandipora, and other senior civil police officers were present on the occasion.
Mahendra Kumar, PMG CO 3 Bn, CRPF, thanked the chief guest for gracing the ceremony. He also thanked senior civil and police officers, players, spectators, media persons and the people for making the event a success. He said sports activities will help keep youth away from drug menace and anti-social activities.
Apoorw, Second-In Command and all other officers of 03 Bn CRPF were present in the closing ceremony of the tournament.
