International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir – 2023 announced

SRINAGAR: Universal Film Makers Council (UFMC), Harman Cultural & Educational Society (HC&ES) is jointly organizing in association with Nava Karnataka Film Academy and Kashmir World Film Festival a mega International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Spiritual Growth Center, Katra, Jammu in month of August 5 and 6, is announcing first momentous K L Saigal Award for International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir and called upon the people of UT to join the extravaganza for bigger participation.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar (at 7C’s Restaurant, Sangarmal, MA Link Road, Srinagar), he said that the vision is to bring all regional and India cinema under one ambit for collective prosperity. Kashmir is land of diverse beauty and intellect and conducting a festival here would send a message globally about peace and tranquility existing here.
The press conference was hosted by Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, who introduced Dr. M. A. Mummigatti and Jai Prabhu before the Media. Mushtaaque also introduced Senior Actor of Kashmir Tariq Javaid, Senior Filmmaker Mushtaq Bala, Filmmaker Shazia Khan and Actor / Filmmaker Gul Riyaz.
Mushtaaque along with Tariq Javaid, Mushtaq Bala, Shazia Khan and Gul Riyaz expressed a warm welcome to Dr. M. A. Mummigatti and Actor Jai Prabhu. Mushtaaque also said that he is happy to host the Festival Director and Actor Jai Prabhu, who have come all the way from Karnataka to Kashmir to spread love through films.
Other film personalities who spoke from the dais included Tariq Javaid, Mushtaq Bala, Shazia Khan and Gul Riyaz. All of them expressed their warm feeling for the guests from Karnataka and promised them all possible support.
IFFJK would pioneer in raising the first ever K L Saigal Award from Jammu which would be a global insignia for all festivals and the honour would be bestowed upon big celebrities of Bollywood and cinema world.
It is for the first time in the history of Indian Cinema that K L Saigal Award has been constituted and is going to start from J&K. UFMC’s associates include top directors like Ramesh Sippy, Subhash Ghai and South Celebrity Star Suman Talwar who complited 700+ Films in Multi Language and other directors of their ilk who are connected with his endeavors and are always at a hands support to raise the cinema at higher zeniths.
Big stars from Bollywood as well as from South will be reaching J&K during August International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jai Prabhu, the rising super star of Kannada movies along with Dr. M. A. Mummigatti has planned worldwide expression of cinema throughout and is looking forward to Jammu and Kashmir for new ventures.
Two feature films of Jai Prabhu are due for release this month and he has come here to explore possibilities for film making in diverse locales of J&K.
Jai Prabhu announced a feature film to be shot in Kashmir and in South in collaboration with artists, technicians and others from Kashmir as well as from South India.
