6th international SQAY coaching camp brings together athletes from 22 states

PAHALGAM: The 16th International Coaching Camp in SQAY Martial Art, a remarkable event aimed at promoting sportsmanship and enhancing athletic skills, successfully concluded in Pahalgam. This prestigious gathering brought together talented athletes from 22 different states, fostering camaraderie, learning, and the spirit of healthy competition.
The International Coaching Camp, organized annually by the SQAY Federation of India attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, ranging from budding athletes to seasoned professionals. This year’s event witnessed an extraordinary turnout of 350 participants both boys and girls, showcasing the commitment and passion of the sporting community.
The week-long coaching camp was held in the breathtakingly picturesque town of Pahalgam, situated in the heart of Jammu and Kashmir. Nestled amid the serene Himalayan ranges, Pahalgam provided an ideal setting for athletes to engage in intensive training, honing their skills in various disciplines.
Throughout the camp, athletes had the unique opportunity to receive expert guidance and mentorship from world-class coaches and trainers. The coaching staff, comprising renowned professionals imparted invaluable knowledge, shared experiences, and conducted rigorous training sessions, ensuring the participants’ growth and development. In this coaching camp, the athletes had the chance to enhance their technical proficiency, tactical understanding, and physical fitness through a series of structured training programs and workshops.
One of the key highlights of this year’s camp was the emphasis on sports psychology and mental well-being. A concluding ceremony was held on 13.06.2023 at famous Pahalgam Club at which Deputy Inspector General of Central Reserve Police Force , Tehsildar Pahalgam, Assistant Director Tourism, Mr. Shabir Ahmed Wani International Skier and ex-Assistant Director Youth Services and Sports Kashmir, Dr. Baba Firdous JK GSPFP and other dignitaries.
The Chief Guest while speaking at the closing ceremony expressed his gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, and staff who made the event a resounding success. He commended the participants for their unwavering dedication and highlighted the camp’s role in nurturing talent, fostering national unity, and promoting a culture of sports in India.
The 16th International Coaching Camp served as a testament to the collective aspirations and unwavering commitment of India’s sporting community.
