PAMPORE: Youth Services and Sports Zone Pampore concluded a two-day zonal level girls’ tournament at the Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district in which 450 girl students from both government and private educational institutions participated.
Principal GHSS Khrew Mohammad Amin was the chief guest, while Vice Principal Mohammad Ayoub, Zonal Physical Education Officer Pampore Masrat Hussain Andarbi, and Principal Islamia School Khrew Ulfat Nabi were the guests of honur. Officials of the department, teachers, and staff members were also present on the occasion.
The tournament witnessed competitions in Volleyball and Kho Kho, ZPEO Pampore, officials told Kashmir Reader. The aim of the activities was to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship and overall development among the students of the Zone Pampore.
The chief guest addressed the student players and encouraged them to participate with true sportsmanship.He emphasized the importance of sports in their lives and advised them to keep themselves away from drug abuse and other anti-social activities.
To mark the commencement of the tournament, all participating student players took an oath to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event. This prestigious tournament not only showcases the sporting talent of the students but also aims to foster a spirit of healthy competition among the participants. It provides a platform for students to excel in their respective disciplines and encourages the development of a robust Sports culture in Zone Pampore.
