NCC Group Srinagar organising Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat camp

SRINAGAR: The NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh is organising a major NCC Camp called Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Special National Integration Camp from June 15 to 26 at the JAK Li Regimental Centre Rangreth, Srinagar under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarter Srinagar.
The camp will be attended by 200 Senior Division Cadets and 20 ANOs from 17 different NCC Directorates spread all over the country comprising both boys and girls. The theme of the camp is Jammu and Kashmir towards peace, progress and prosperity, PRO (Defence) Srinagar said in a statement.
In addition to community living and learning from each other, several activities have been planned during the 12-day camp to foster the spirit of national integration between the participating cadets which include cultural activities, games and sports competitions, and interactions, he said, adding that the cadets will be given an insight into the history, culture, traditions of Jammu and Kashmir with an aim to enhance their understanding of this Paradise on Earth and the long strides taken towards progress and overall development.
The cadets will also be shown around places of interest like Mughal Gardens, Gulmarg, Sonamarg and motivational visit to Kaman AmanSetu at Uri. Student Interaction programs are also being organised at three prominent colleges of Srinagar where cadets will get an opportunity to interact with the local college students and exchange their views. The cadets will also participate in the International Yoga Day program on June 21.
The visits by senior dignitaries from the state administration as well as Armed forces, heads of colleges and schools as well as parents of cadets from Kashmir valley are being invited to visit the camp, the PRO said.
