DYSS orginises Inter Zonal Level Competition for U-14 at Pampore

Tehsildar Pampore urges students to stay away from drugs, always reach out to parents and family

PAMPORE: Youth Services and Sports Zone Pampore organized an Inter School Zonal Level Competition U-14 Boys Kabbadi Kho Kho and Volleyball at Iqbal Stadium Tanchibagh Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat was the chief guest while ZEO Pampore Abdul Rasheed, ZPEO Pampore Masrat Hussain Andrabi, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Pampore Mahammad Iqbal were the guests of honour.
About 300 students from both government and private education Institutions participated in the event, besides Teachers and staff members present on the occasion
Zonal Physical Education Officer Pampore organized a wide range of sports including, Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi which was inaugurated by Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat, in the presence of ZEO Pampore Abdul Rasheed, EO MC Pampore Mohammad Iqbal Bhat other officials of the department, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Chief Guest Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat speaking on the occasion said that sports are an important part of one’s life.
“Taking part in sports keeps a person fit in every sense for students, it is even more important as it helps us release stress, stay healthy and focus,” he said, adding that such events not only promote physical fitness but also encourage teamwork, discipline and a spirit of healthy competition among the youth. He requested the participant students to stay away from drugs and always reach out to parents and family to resolve any problem in their life. He said drugs may look attractive initially but it has the capacity to destroy the future of a person.
Today, a series of sports events were held under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat. The competition provided an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent, develop sportsmanship, and learn valuable life lessons such as teamwork, perseverance, and resilience.
In this event, more than 320 students across the zone Pampore from different government and private schools participated, ZPEO Pampore Masrat Hussain Andrabi told Kashmir Reader.
The aim of these activities was to promote physical Fitness, sportsmanship and overall development among the youth of the Zone.
The positive feedback received from the participants encourages the department to continue its efforts in providing such enriching experiences in the future.
