SRINAGAR: As part of the awareness on the concept of LiFE (Lifestyle for the environment) launched by the Prime Minister of India, the Powergrid Corporation of India celebrated the World Environment Day across the UT of J&K.
Various functions on awareness about the lifestyle for environment concept were held across all of its establishments in the northen region II, the corporation said in a statement.
On the occasion, LiFE pledge was administered to all the employees of the corporation. In one such event at the regional headquarters, Rajesh Kumar (Executive Director) along with senior officers planted trees in the office premises to reiterate their commitment for a greener and healthier environment. Kumar in his address emphasized that the implementation of the seven themes of LiFE in our daily routine will be helpful for us to live a better life.
A talk on “Adopt healthy lifestyles with sustainable food systems” was also delivered by Dr. T R Raina, renowned expert in yoga and naturopathy to all the establishments of the northen region II.
