Mughal Road Reopens for Traffic

Poonch: The Mughal Road has been reopened for vehicular traffic movement after the thoroughfare was cleared of accumulated landslide debris here on Tuesday evening.
An official said that the road was closed for all sorts of movement following a landslide at Rata Chambb in Surankote this afternoon. “Men and machinery were pressed on the job to clear the road of the accumulated debris and after a few hours of continuous work, the road was made through for the traffic”, the official said.
The strategic thoroughfare connects the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu region with south Kashmir’s Shopian. (GNS)
