JKCPRS collaborates with JKSA to guide Kashmiri students for ‘Fulbright Fellowship Program’

Srinagar/New Delhi: J&K Centre for Peace, Research and Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association on Saturday conducted a webinar for over 200 aspiring fellows from Kashmir who are applying for the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship Program this year. The event aimed to provide information about the scholarship and the application process, as well as guidance and advice for interested individuals. The comprehensive session covered both the technical and practical aspects of the scholarship, highlighting the importance of international educational exchange programs in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
The Fulbright Fellowship Program, sponsored by the United States government, is awarded based on academic merit and leadership potential, covering tuition fees, travel costs, and living expenses. The program offers students and professionals the opportunity to study and conduct research in the United States of America. By attending the webinar, the aspiring fellows were equipped with the necessary knowledge and resources to apply for the Fulbright Fellowship Program and pursue their academic and career goals.
The webinar was inaugurated by Umar Masoodi, the Incharge Coordination Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association and Research Associate JKCPRS and Aadil Bhat, the President of the North Zone Jammu and Kashmir Students Association and JKCPRS Research Associate, welcomed the audience with opening remarks. The session was well-organized and aimed to equip aspiring fellows with the necessary knowledge and resources to apply for the Fulbright Fellowship Program and pursue their academic and career goals.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Dr. Shah Faesal, an IAS officer, Harvard University alumnus, and Fulbright scholar. The event attracted a large number of students from the region, and it provided information about the scholarship and the application process, as well as guidance and advice for interested individuals. During his speech, Dr. Faesal emphasized the importance of international educational exchange programs in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow. On the occasion, the National Convenor of J&K Students Association and Chairman of JKCPRS Nasir Khuehami addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of scholarships in preparing intellectual leaders for the future. He expressed his delight in organizing the workshop on Fulbright fellowship, which he hopes will inspire and motivate young students and professionals to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
Khuehami believes that education is key to progress and development in society, and the Fulbright program is an excellent opportunity for students and professionals to gain knowledge and skills from some of the best academic institutions worldwide. He emphasized the importance of international educational exchange programs in building intellectual leaders for the future. Ummar Jamal, Co-founder of JKCPRS, also addressed the participants, stating that the aim of conducting the workshop on the Fulbright scholarship is to educate and inform individuals about scholarship opportunities and the application process. JKCPRS Research Fellow Umar Masoodi also provided aspiring Fulbright fellows with all the necessary information about the scholarship, including eligibility criteria, the application process, and the benefits that come with the Fellowship.
