Srinagar/New Delhi: J&K Centre for Peace, Research and Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association on Saturday conducted a webinar for over 200 aspiring fellows from Kashmir who are applying for the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship Program this year. The event aimed to provide information about the scholarship and the application process, as well as guidance and advice for interested individuals. The comprehensive session covered both the technical and practical aspects of the scholarship, highlighting the importance of international educational exchange programs in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
The Fulbright Fellowship Program, sponsored by the United States government, is awarded based on academic merit and leadership potential, covering tuition fees, travel costs, and living expenses. The program offers students and professionals the opportunity to study and conduct research in the United States of America. The webinar was inaugurated by Umar Masoodi, the Incharge Coordination Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association and Research Associate JKCPRS and Aadil Bhat, the President of the North Zone Jammu and Kashmir Students Association and JKCPRS Research Associate, welcomed the audience with opening remarks. The session was well-organized and aimed to equip aspiring fellows with the necessary knowledge and resources to apply for the Fulbright Fellowship Program and pursue their academic and career goals.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Dr. Shah Faesal, an IAS officer, Harvard University alumnus, and Fulbright scholar.
