JKSA thanks govt for safe evacuation of J&K students from violence-hit Manipur

SRINAGAR: The J&K Students Association on Monday expressed its gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led government for safely evacuating students of Jammu and Kashmir who were stranded in violence-affected Manipur.
In a statement, the National Convenor of the Association, Nasir Khuehami, thanked the Jammu and Kashmir Administration for facilitating the evacuation of Kashmiri students from Manipur, which has been grappling with violence and unrest.
Khuehami acknowledged that all students from the Jammu and Kashmir Union territory who were studying in Manipur and were stranded due to escalating violence have safely returned to their homeland J&K UT via flights. He expressed his appreciation to both the J&K and Manipur authorities for their prompt efforts in ensuring the safe return of these students from the violence-affected Manipur.
Khuehami added that the students were stranded in Manipur due to the ongoing violence, making it difficult for them to return home. However, the J&K Students Association reached out to the LG Administration of J&K and the Manipur Administration, seeking their assistance in evacuating the students. In response, the LG Administration of J&K and the Manipur Administration quickly swung into action, coordinating with various agencies to ensure the safe and timely evacuation of the Kashmiri students.
The J&K Students Association National Secretary Davood Ahmad also expressed his gratitude and said, “We are deeply grateful to the LG Administration of Jammu and Kashmir and the Manipur Administration for their prompt and effective response in evacuating our Kashmiri students from Manipur.” Ahmad further mentioned that the students received free boarding, lodging, and transport to their homes through the J&K Government.
The Association commended the tireless efforts of all those involved in this operation and hoped that such collaborative efforts between different regions and communities would continue in the future. District Magistrates of Baramulla and Jammu respectively paid valuable attention towards the Jammu and Kashmir students, coordinating and evacuating them back to their homeland. The gesture of solidarity and support shown by both the J&K and Manipur authorities will be forever etched in the minds of the students.
