Ganderbal: The Department of Student Welfare, Faculty of Fisheries in collaboration with District Employment & Counselling Centre, Ganderbal (DE&CC), organized a one-day awareness and soft skills workshop at Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil, Ganderbal on May 01, 2023.
The workshop was attended Rafia Peer, Career Counselling Officer, DE&CC Ganderbal, Faiza Fida, Young Professional Ministry of Labor & Employment and Abdul Hameed, SO Planning, DE&CC Ganderbal along with Amir Farooq Wani, Associate Director Wizkid Educorp, Muneed Ahmad Mir, Senior Career Councillor, Wizkid Educorp.
Rafia Peer, Career Counselling Officer, DE&CC Ganderbal interacted with the students and informed them about different schemes available at DE&CC Ganderbal. She highlighted the importance of soft skills in developing entrepreneurship. Amir Farooq Wani, Associate Director, Wizkid Consultancy & Financial Services gave an insight into how important it is to add value to the skills set of a student in order to success in life.
Faiza FidaWani, Young Professional, Ministry of Labor and Employment did explain about the JK employment portal. Prof. (Dr.) Farooz Ahmad Bhat, Dean FoFy, gave an insight into the importance of having competitive skill set in order to innovate and excel in the career path of a student. He thanked all the speakers for encouraging students in developing entrepreneurship skills.More than 100 students from UG/PG participated in the soft skills workshop. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Mudasir M. Kirmani, SWO, FoFy, SKUAST-K.
