First middle school in Pulwama with such facility: ZEO Pampore
PAMPORE: An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lab was inaugurated at Upper Primary School Gujjar Basti Jeewan Sahab Ladhoo area of Pampore Education Zone in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. It was jointly inaugurated by ZEO Pampore Abdul Rasheed and Principal Government Higher Secondary Ladhoo Mohammad Ashraf.
Mohammad Amin Bhat District Secretary JK Teachers Forum Pulwama, HOI UPS Jeewan Sahab Wani Bilal Ahmad, Kuchay Yousuf HOI Litterbal, Bilal Wahab Zonal organizer JKTF Prominent Teachers and staff of UPS Jeewan Sahab were also present on the occasion.
The school is well equipped with all the modern gadgets like a smart classroom, computer lab, smart TV, CC TV cameras and other playing and fun item provided by former Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Basiee Ul Haq Choudhary by virtue of his keen interest the school has the honour to be the first model school with such equipment and gadgets.
The officers thanked the former DC and other officials of the education department for this effort and requested him to provide such facilities for other schools of Zone Pampore, officials told Kashmir Reader. “We are very thankful to Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary for developing infrastructure for the school,” ZEO Pampore, Abdul Rasheed told Kashmir Reader, adding that this is the first UPS in the whole of Pulwama having such facilities.
He said that they inaugurated an ICT facility today and found that the school has all sophisticated facilities. The room has been beautifully renovated and has good paneling. It has computers also. All these facilities have been provided so that students from ST and SC get quality education,” he said and hoped that the school will become a model for the district in the coming days.
ZEO, Pampore Abdul Rasheed said that during the recently-held enrolment drive, they had promised parents of the kids that all facilities will be provided to them. “It is in this context that an ICT facility has been inaugurated today in the school,” the ZEO said, thanking the DC Pulwama and CEO Pulwama for making funds available for the facility.
He also applauded the role of ZEPO Manzoor Ahmad for his efforts in getting the facility sanctioned for the school. He said that apart from ICT government has provided them with playing and recreation equipment for KG classes which are proving very valuable teaching tools for these kids.
“This school is number one having all facilities in place,” he said, adding that he appeals to DC Pulwama and CEO Pulwama for ICT in other schools of zone Pampore.
