Stolen property recovered

Baramulla: Police in Baramulla have solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Police said that on 25th March, Police Post Palhallan received a complaint from one person namely Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh resident of Tantraypora Palhallan, Pattan stating therein that during intervening nights of 24th and 25th March-2023 some unknown burglars entered into his residential house and stole copper utensils. In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources, the investigating officers zeroed in on some suspects, one among them namely Khursheed Ahmad Waza son of Ghulam Mohd Waza resident of Tantraypora Palhallan confessed that he alongwith other accomplice identified as Tanveer Ahmad Reshi son of Ghulam Mohd Reshi resident of New Colony Palpora Pattan have committed the theft, police said. Sub sequentially, accused Tanveer Ahmad was also arrested for his involvement in the commission of crime.
On their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
“Community members have lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the case. Our consistent actions shall assure community members that Police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities,” he said.
