PAMPORE: Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore Celebrated International Woman’s Week at Munciff Court Complex Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore organised Legal Awareness at Munsiff Court Complex Pampore regarding “International Women’s Week” in collaboration with National Commission for Women under the guidance of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Pulwama and under the chairmanship of Chairman TLSC Pampore Junaid Imtiaz Mir Munsiff/JMIC Pampore.

“The programme was aimed to express gratitude towards women’s contribution to our lives and society. It honours the power and struggles of women who have broken all barriers and reached the pinnacle of success in every sphere of life,” the committee said. “Today, women across the globe actively participate in politics, education, social work, corporate, sports, IT, research and development, innovation and diverse fields, and have left their footprints.”

Resource Persons were Adv Bashir Ahmad Malik Panel Lawyer and Adv Mehraj Panel Lawyer who spoke during the occasion regarding the upliftment of women for their better future in society and the role of Lawyers by making women aware of the rights provided to them by the constitution of India.

Bar Association Pampore President Adv Aijaz Ahmad Khan also delivered his speech regarding the subject along with other bar members including Adv Shabnam and Adv Jahan Ara who spoke on the problems faced by women in society and the laws protecting them. The programme was attended by Anganwadi Workers, Bar Members, Panel Lawyers and PLVs of TLSC Pampore.
