Convert adversities into opportunities: VC SKUAST-K /J to innovators

Srinagar: To encourage and promote innovation led technology dissemination to fields, VC, SKUAST-K/J, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai interacted with the Faculty/Student led startups of the University in his office chamber on Monday afternoon. He advised the innovators to take their innovative technologies to next level making good use of university resources.

Throwing a brief light on his professional journey, he advised the budding innovators to keep overcoming all the challenges, converting adversities into opportunities and motivate others (students/young faculty) to focus on outcome based education and come up with Research based technologies.

He further outlined that Innovation, Incubation and domain specific Startups are future of J&K UT and is happy to share that the varsity is trying its level best to inculcate the ecosystem within university by training, brainstorming and mentoring the young minds for taking up startups as their career option. He asked the innovators to take their innovations to next level to ensure its reach to stake holders across the country.

The VC thanked the innovators for giving a great impression of the varsity in the public at large.

Earlier the participating innovators felicitated the Hon’ble VC, Associate Director Research/OSD to Hon’ble VC, Prof Azmat Alam Khan sir & Assistant Professor Planning, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Lone Shb.

In the interaction programme Dir Research, Prof S.A. Wani sir Registrar, Prof T.H. Masoodi sir & Dean Horticulture,Prof S.A. Wani, Professor and Head Division of Epidemiology and veterinary preventive medicine, Dr Amatul Muhee were also present.

The note of gratitude and thanks for encouragement, support and infusing ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship was presented by Dr Parvaiz Reshi, Assistant Professor (Animal Nutrition), SKUAST-K and the innovator for KashMin Innovations Private Limited, who also acknowledged the support and patronship of Prof Haroon Naik and business mentorship of Business Developmental Analyst, Dr Naveed Bhat in their absentia.

Innovators, Dr Abid Tantray, Assistant Professor (Sericulture), Khalid Masoodi, Assistant Professor, Plant genetics and breeding, Dr Khurshid Sofi, Assistant Professor, plant pathology, Dr Nadeem, Assistant professor, Animal Biotechnology, Dr Ambreen Hamadani, Ph.D scholar, Animal genetics and breeding, Dr Ahmer and other student innovators were present in the programme who briefed the gathering about the response of the stale holders regarding their innovative research based products.
