Teacher Held For Biting Colleague’s Ear

Srinagar: Police on Thursday arrested a teacher for allegedly biting colleague’s ear in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The incident had happened on February 21 when two teachers posted at Government Middle School Buchoo in Pattan entered into a verbal brawl and one of the teachers assaulted his colleague and bit his ear, officials said.
Soon after the incident took place, the J&K Police Pattan registered the case and arrested the accused teacher as well.
Meanwhile, the education department has constituted a committee to probe the matter and submit recommendations for initiating departmental action in this case.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Pattan has been to submit the report to the CEO concerned to initiate the departmental action against the accused teacher, officials said.
