KU NSS volunteers to participate in National Integration Camp at HAU

Srinagar: A contingent of four NSS volunteers and one NSS programme officer were on Thursday deputed by the University of Kashmir for participation in the National Integration Camp at Hisar, Haryana.

The camp from February 26-March 4 is being held at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar, popularly known as HAU. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The contingent led by NSS Programme Officer Farooq Ahmad Wani includes NSS volunteers Farzan Amin and Syed Naveed Anjum Moosvi from The Business School, Khateeba Syed from Centre for Women’s Studies and Research and Syed Aveen from the Department of Psychology.

The volunteers, who were seen off by Registrar Dr Nisar A Mir in presence of NSS Coordinator KU Dr Mussavir Ahmad, will participate in a range of events.

In his brief interaction with the student volunteers, Dr Nisar urged them to give their best during the camp and live up to the motto of NSS in its true spirit.

Dr Mussavir said the NSS is working hard to ensure participation of its volunteers in all national-level programmes.
