Baramulla: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized two vehicles and arrested two persons in Baramulla.

A police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Mohd Nawaz assisted by incharge PP Mirgund seized two tractors for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Mirchimar Mirgund Pattan, police said in a statement. Police also arrested two drivers identified as Mohd Akbar Lone son of Gh Mohiuddin Lone resident of Hanjiwera and Javid Ahmad Chopan son of Gh Hassan Chopan resident of Shirpora Pattan for their involvement in the commission of crime, it said.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated, police said.
