Dozens of people join BJP in Zawoora

PAMPORE: Dozens of people, mostly youth and young women, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the party workers’ convention and joining programme at the Zawoora area of Lal Chowk constituency on Sunday.
They joined the party in the presence of senior BJP leader and former MLC Surinder Ambardar, and DDC member Khunmoh Er Ajaz Ajaz Hussain. They were heartily welcomed into the party fold by Surindar Ambardar, Er Ajaz Hussain and other leaders.
A large number of people, mostly youth and women, joined the programme during which the participants raised slogans in favour of Er Aijaz and pledged their support and allegiance to him.
“Braving the nail-biting cold, hundreds of people from Lal Chowk assembly segment assembled at Zawoora area to participate in the party convention,” BJP leader Er Aijaz Hussain told Kashmir Reader.
In today’s function, BJP leader and former MLC Surinder Ambardar was the chief guest while DDC members from Harwan and Theed Srinagar also participated in the convention.
Speaking on the occasion, Er Aijaz said, “Gone are the days when politicians would befool people by raising hollow slogans. In today’s world, there is no space for fake politics and vote bank politics as people are mature enough to understand the politics being played by the politicians.”
He said that BJP is the sole party that is committed to serving the people irrespective of caste, colour and creed. Er Aijaz said that since the abrogation of Article 370, the people of Kashmir have heaved a sigh of relief and are reaping the peace dividends.
In his speech, BJP leader Surinder Ambardar urged the people and youth to continue their support for Er Aijaz and ensure his victory from Lal Chowk constituency in the upcoming assembly elections.
While talking to the media, Er Aijaz Hussain said that he appreciated the party workers who came in large numbers. “We are not just making interactive programmes but the seriousness of our efforts is depicted by our conventions. At least, two party meetings are held every week and we are hopeful that a sizable number of seats would be there for BJP,” he said.
He said that the party has rejected the regimes that have harmed the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
“In the near future, you will see that lotus will bloom in Lal Chowk seat as the way people have shown faith in our political party and we assure them we will never let it lost,” he said, adding that they would share their worries and joys.
He further said, “Other parties had put the narrative that BJP was untouchable. Today you would see that it is the party of people who believe in the slogan of Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Aur Sab Ka Prayas.”
