Pampore town faced political apathy from previous governments: Apni Party leaders 

PAMPORE: Apni Party organised a party convention cum joining programme at Townhall Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The Apni Party leaders who were present include Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Women Wing Provincial President Apni Party Dilshada Shaheen, District President Pulwama Gulam Mohammad Mir, Chairman BDC Pampore Mir Altaf Hussain, Youth leader Syed Tajala, Provincial Secretary of the Woman’s Wing Afroza Khan, and others were present on the occasion.
A number of party workers of the Pampore constituency also participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Apni Party leaders said that Saffron Pampore has been ignored from the last 30 to 40 years.
If the Apni Party would come to power it would provide 500 units free of electricity to the people in the Valley, enhance old age pension from 1000 to 5000 and family marriage assistance to One lakh rupees along with 4 cylinders of gas for free for each house holder.
During the programme about a dozen workers joined the apni party.
The joining took place in presence of Mohammad Ashraf Mir and other Apni party leaders.
On this occasion, Mohammad Ashraf Mir while addressing the gathering urged party workers to remain active in terms of enhancing their public outreach and political activities.
He said, “Apni Party’s key agenda is to serve the people and help them to get public issues and grievances resolved through the concerned authorities, thus, it is our duty to remain active and in touch with the masses to understand their issues better. I urge you to keep identifying public issues so that the Apni Party is in a better position to raise these issues with the administration.”
He also asked party workers to ensure common people are well aware of the people-friendly agenda of the party.
Mir urged the people of Pampore to join hands with Apni Party so that the party will be in a better position to serve them. He said, “Unlike past, the people of this beautiful land should come forward to strengthen the democratic process. You must participate in the electoral process whenever the assembly polls are held in J&K. I assure you that if you elect Apni Party to power, we will ensure Saffron cultivation and production and industrial development of this beautiful place is enhanced further.”
Former Minister in PDP-BJP coalition government, Apni Party Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir lambasted previous governments for treating Saffron town Pampore step-motherly just for not voting in their favour, Mir said on the sidelines of a party convention.
He said that political parties never paid attention to the town only because they did not use their franchise.
” Apni party chief Syed Altaf Bukhari has said that his party would not discriminate for not voting for their party but would include all who has voted for it or not,” he told Kashmir Reader,adding that Saffron Town Pampore would be given its sheen back if this town of 15000 population votes and use their franchise wisely.
He also said that Pampore has been ignored from the last 30 to 40 years.
He further reiterated that if the Apni Party would come to power it would provide 500 units of electricity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, enhance old age pension from 1000 to 5000 and marriage assistance to one lakh Rupees along with 4 cylinders of gas for free for each household.
