Volunteers donate blood during donation camp at Khrew Pampore

PAMPORE: A Blood donation camp was organised at Khrew area of Pampore Tehsil in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The camp was organised by 313 Blood donors Kashmir in collaboration with Lala Ded hospital, Srinagar and Peoples Welfare Trust Khrew at Awqaf Building Khrew.
The camp was inaugurated by blood bank officer LD hospital, Srinagar Dr Javaid Iqbal Khan in presence of doctors, members of blood donors Kashmir and civil society members of the area.
The objective of the camp was to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily so as to save precious life of needy patients.
Around 86 volunteers donated blood during the camp, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Blood Bank incharge Dr. Javaid Iqbal Khan thanked to the people especially youth of Khrew Pampore .
“ This is our second consecutive blood donation camp here. Dawood and his team approached Medical Superintendent Lala Ded hospital for organising this blood donation camp who okayed for the event and we are here,” he told Kashmir Reader adding that they had stored blood in good amount.
Syed Society member Mukhlis Syed Mohammad Ashraf while thanking the Medical team led by Dr. Javaid Iqbal Khan, said that the camp became a success only because the Auqaf Committee Khrew, People’s Welfare Committee and Go Green Khrew coordinated in the event.
He also thanked the people of Khrew particularly the youth.
