5 girls married, 10 get assistance from MH charity in Tral

TRAL: Under mass marriage ceremony programme, Mother Helpage (MH) Kashmir, a charity organization, helped 5 girls to get married while as it will provid financial assistance to 10 others. The Nikah cermoney was held at Baginder village of Sub Division Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials of the NGO told Kashmir Reader that the brides belonged to poor and destitute families.
“They were chosen with the help of village heads,” they said, adding 5 girls got on spot assistance and they were tied in a nuptial knot today.They said Mother Helpage Kashmir arranged all the items for the ceremony.
We will provide financial assistance to 10 more girls during another event to be conducted in coming days,” Zahid Parvaaz, a member of the NGO told Kashmir Reader, adding that many applications were received out of which 15 were selected.
The local residents of the area also appreciated the efforts of NGO and hoped that they would continue it at other places also.Many of the noted citizens including Sarpanch, Gutroo Choudhray Shari, Social activist, Zahid Parvaaz Choudhray; religious preacher, Mohammad Maqbool Akhrani and other PRI members and dozens of locals graced the event.
