MSME sponsored training programme on ‘Human Resource Management Practices for Small Business Firms’ successfully concluded at KVK Ganderbal.

Srinagar: The School of Agriculture Economics & Horti-Business Management and KVK Ganderbal successfully concluded one week MDP training programme on ‘Human Resource Management Practices for Small Business Firms’ at KVK Ganderbal, Shuhama.
The training was sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.The Valedictory Function was attended by dignitaries of the University and KVK Ganderbal. A good number of trainees had registered for the training programme including budding entrepreneurs and young girls. At the outset, Dr. Abid Sultan, Training Coordinator presented a detailed report regarding the programme.
It was revealed that the workshop trained thirty young aspiring entrepreneurs regarding various aspects of Human Resource Management. Speakers from various reputed academic and research institutes including J&KEDI, NIT and IIM, Jammu provided detailed information about effective and efficient management of work-force in small business firms. Prof. S.H. Baba,Head SAE & HBM deliberated on the outcome of the training programme and sensitized the trainees regarding other training programmes to be organised by the School in future.
Dr. Baba invited ideas from participants for incubation and scaling up and expressed interest in giving direction to business ideas.Dr. Ishfaq Abidi, Senior Scientist & Head KVK Ganderbal expressed his satisfaction on the conduct of the programme. He revealed that the participants were trained on theoretical as well as practical aspects of Human Resource Management and interactive discussions were organized for dissemination of knowledge in a comprehensive way.
He conveyed that the training programme was helpful in instilling creativity and leadership skills among the trainees. Dr. Abidi said that the KVK intends to organise more such programmes for entrepreneurship and skill development among youth of the District. The participants expressed gratitude for conduct of such a comprehensive programme. Formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. K. Gautam, who appreciated the support of KVK Ganderbal and student coordinators Irtiqa Malik, Seerat Hassan Wani and Umar Mohammad Mir for efficient coordination of the programme
