BANDIPORA: In order to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on Thursday convened a meeting of concerned Officers at mini secretariat Bandipora.
The meeting discussed several aspects of implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission including physical and financial status of various projects under JJM.
It was given out that District Bandipora has proposed 120 schemes including infrastructure of 1970.88 kms of pipe network.
The meeting was informed that out of 225 works under different schemes, 224 works stands tendered and Letter of intent and allotment in respect of JJM stands issued for works worth 1655.540 lacs.
The DC directed all the concerned to expedite work on all the ongoing works to complete the projects within stipulated time frame.
Dr. Owais exhorted the officers to put in coordinated efforts to achieve the target so that people are benefited from the schemes.
The DC asked the concerned officers to ensure regular inspections of works in order to get first hand appraisal of works.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and other concerned members.
