Srinagar: Department of Students Welfare, SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar conducted a Mega Placement Drive with ICICI, Mumbai as the placement partner.
Students from various colleges of the University participated with great enthusiasm. Prof N.A. Ganai, Vice Chancellor of the varsity complimented Prof. M.A .A.Siddique, Dean Students Welfare for organizing such events on a regular basis involving private sector of the country.
He said that such Placement drives are the need of the hour as they provide opportunities for our students to work in different environments whichwill go a long way in boosting the morale of the students besides providing them livelihood security.
It will also help improving University’s ranking at National Level. Mr.Abhay Sharma Zonal Head (North Zone),Ms.Prachi A. Malapur Dy. Manager (HR) Binny Project Manager, J&K of ICICI conducted group discussions & interview of the candidates. The team was highlysatisfied with the talent of the varsity students particularly the girls. They hoped that the selectees will be helpful for ICICI as well as for the Socio-economic development of J&K.
The placement drive also attended by Dr.SeemiLohani Student Welfare Officer-HQ, Dr.Sajad Ahmad Bhat Student Welfare Officer-FVSc&Dr.Aijaz Ahmad Qureshi Student Welfare Officer-FoA.
