Director Rural Sanitation J&K visits Pampore as part of Jan Abhiyan

PAMPORE: Director Rural Sanitation Jammu and Kashmir Charandeep Singh on Tuesday visited various areas of Pampore Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district as part of Jan Abhiyan.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that, as part of the ongoing Jan Abhiyan, initiative recently launched by the government in J&K UT, an awareness programmes has been organized in Meej block Pampore and Samboora block Kakapora areas Pampore Tehsil in Pulwama district for the preparation of Back to Village phase IV (B2V4) in which Director Rural Sanitation J&K Charandeep Singh participated as Presiding Officer.
The Director Rural Sanitation listened to various grievances/issues put forward by the public representatives and the relevant quarters were given appropriate instructions for resolution of the same at the earliest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl, Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat, ACD Pulwama, ACP Pulwama, Deputy director planing RDD and other officials were present during the programme.
BDC Chairman Pampore Mir Altaf Ahmad, DDC member Adv Minah Lateef, Sarpanchs, officers of various departments and a good number of general public also participated in the day programmes.
While interacting with PRI representatives and the public, the Director exhorted upon them to participate actively in the B2V4 Programme and take due benefits of various schemes of Government.
The Director dedicated Community Service Centers (CSC), other developmental works including lanes for the assistance of the general public across the Panchayat so that they can obtain benefits under the Government Schemes.
During the day long Programmes, the Director, Rural Sanitation J&K discussed various development works with the people.
On this occasion, the officers got information from the people about the back-to-village programmes organized earlier and appealed to them to participate more in the back-to-village programmes.
The Officers said that Back to Village is a programme through which the distance between officers and people is removed and people’s work becomes possible easily.
During the day long Programmes, the presiding officer Director Rural Sanitation J&K Charandeep Singh also inaugurated many development structures in the respective areas.
Meanwhile, a sports fair was also organized on this occasion in which hundreds of athletes from the area participated.
Director Rural and Sanitationtion J&K Charandeep Singh said that Back to village is a good initiative with a lot of potential for shortening the communication gap between the administration and the common masses. Administration arrives at the doorsteps of the common people to understand their grievances and address them on the spot.
This approach builds trust among the common people and by this way the ties between the people and the sarkar strengthens. It is a kind of bottom-up approach and is better than top down approach regarding Policy Planning.
Meanwhile, As part of Jan Abhiyan, the District Administration Pulwama, under the Chairmaship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl and Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat also distributed hundreds of land passbook among landowners during the programmes regarding Aap Ki Zameen Aapki Nigrani (AZAN) at Munpora, Chandhara, Meej, Samboora, Gundnbal and other villages of Pampore Tehsil.
A local Sarpans, Patwaris, Numberdars and a number of farmers of these areas also participated during these programmes.
ADC Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl and Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat also met with representatives of the Munpora village and listened to their issues of the area. ADC Awantipora assured the people that all their genuine demands and grievances shall be taken care of for speedy redressal.
