Shahbaz Mirza distributes land pass books among landowners at Pampore village

PAMPORE: Special Secretary, Revenue J&K Shahbaz Mirza on Saturday visited Zantrag Khrew and distributed land passbooks among the landowners at Zantrag Khrew village of Pampore Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that Special Secretary Revenue J&K Shahbaz Mirza along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl and Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat distributed Land Pass Books among landowners and held an awareness programme regarding Aap Ki Zameen Aapki Nigrani (AZAN), and other online revenue services at Zantrag Khrew area of Pampore Tehsil.
The programme was attended by Revenue officials, Sarpanch, numberdars, farmers students, a number of people from Zantrag, Pukhribal, Bathina Khrew areas.
As a major initiative towards good governance, Special Secretary Revenue Shahbaz Mirza handed over land passbooks to the land owners at a function organised by revenue department Pampore held at Zantrag Khrew village of Pampore, ADC Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl told Kashmir Reader.
During the event, a number of beneficiaries from Tehsil Pampore were handed over land passbooks.
The Special Secretary also interacted with the landowners and highlighted the benefits of land passbooks. He said that the passbook is true to the land records and can be generated online.
On the occasion, Special Secretary Revenue Shahbaz Mirza said that the initiative Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani (AZAN) is aimed at facilitating easy online access to the system to view or monitor the status of revenue records. Citizens no longer need to visit the offices for obtaining information about their land. AZAN has empowered them to check their land records on CIS Portal.
The initiative is part of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP).
Speaking about the online revenue services, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl said that the J&K Government has launched many digital services including applications for issuing different certificates which will bring ease to the public and transparency in delivery of services to the citizens.
As you know B2V4 is going start from 27 to 31 October. In the run a Janabhiyan will be held in which different departments have been given different deliverables,”
Special Secretary Revenue J&K Shahbaz Mirza said taking to Kashmir Reader, adding camps will be held in different villages/ Panchayats to work on the deliverables.
He told Kashmir Reader that revenue department has been given four deliverables including issuing pass books, giving farmers access to Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ka Naam and completion of Warasti Inteqal.
Today I visited this far-flung area of Zantrag to see what revenue department of the district is doing.
” I was happy to see that they have already been doing camps, here people also brought forward various issues which were listened,” he said.
