SRINAGAR: Continuing with its winning Spree Islamia College Defeated Government Degree College Bijbehara by 34 runs to reach Quarter Finals of Inter College Cricket tournament.
Batting first after winning the toss Islamia College displayed their batting prowess from the word go with left handed opener Ghazi Mushtaq playing a scintillating knock of 77 runs full of vertical strokes . He held the fort at one end with useful contributions of 25 and 24 by ever reliable Quanain and allrounder Muteeb respectively.
The team finished at an impressive 142 runs . In reply GDC Bijbehara Batsman never got going and kept loosing wickets at regular intervals . The opening Bowlers of ICSC team lead by Haseeb and Munazir kept it tight not giving any leeway to Batsmen. Making full use of slow conditions off spinner Muteeb enticed the players to play false strokes removing 6 of them in quick succession and was adjudged man of the match.
