CCRUM organizing seminar on IPR and public health at Srinagar

Srinagar/New Delhi: The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India is organizing a National Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Public Health Research: Way forward in Unani Medicine’ on October 03, 2022 at EMMRC Auditorium, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
Prof. Nilofer Khan, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Director General, CCRUM, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India and Dr. Khursheed Bakshi, Institute of Asian Medical Sciences, Zakura, J&K will address the inaugural function.
The seminar is aimed to sensitize, train and create awareness among researchers, academicians and students in the field of IPR management, technology transfer and commercialization of patents. The seminar would also have deliberations on public health research and the role of Unani Medicine. The technical sessions would have resource persons from different disciplines of medical sciences.
Dr. Seema Akbar, Assistant Director Incharge, Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Srinagar, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Research Officer (Pathology) Scientist-IV and Head of IPR Division, Dr. Rampratap Meena, Research Officer (Chemistry) Scientist-IV, Dr. Nighat Anjum, Research Officer (Unani) Scientist-III and Dr. Usama Akram, Research Officer (Unani), IPR Division, CCRUM Headquarters, New Delhi are coordinating the seminar.
