Jammu Kashmir Contractors Coordination Committee delegation meets Chief Secretary

Defers strike call after assurances from authorities

Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir Contractors Coordination Committee delegation led by Chairman Ghuam Jeelani Purza along with senior members regarding various issues of Contractor’s Fraternity on Tuesday met the Chief Secretary to discuss various issues faced by the fraternity.
A circular was issued by the Geology and Mining Department in which they stated demanding of Royalty Clearance certificates from the contractors was discussed threadbare. This was discussed with the Chief Secretary and the issue has been sorted and he assured that all the Bills of the contractors who have been lying in the treasuries for the past several days will be cleared within 7 days . Rest of the issues that were discussed with Chief Secretary Arun Kumar were sorted and a formal order in this will be issued by the authorities in the coming days.
JKCCC hailed the Chief Secretary for sorting all these issues of the fraternity.
JKCC called upon the contractors Of Jammu & Kashmir to continue their development works as usual because in view of these assurances strike called by the JKCCC for tomorrow has been deferred .
